The Agile approach

The introduction to the Agile Manifesto reads:

“We are uncovering better ways of developing software by doing it and helping others do it. Through this work we have come to value:”

  • “Individual & interactions over processes & tools.”
  • “Working software over comprehensive documentation.”
  • “Customer collaboration over contract negotiation.”
  • “Responding to change over following a plan.”

“That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.”

The Agile Manifesto also details the key agile principles and agile values that help guide the implementation of agile methods and practices while also helping project managers understand the required mind-set to effectively employ Agile in their work.
